PARK GROUNDS

History

The Kingsburg Historical Park was founded in 1969 as a way to preserve Kingsburg's rich community heritage and provide a space for community gatherings.  The park grounds provide a great place for a variety of meetings.

Yokut Home and Wagon History

 These two exhibits showcase the pioneering spirit with authentic covered wagons and artifacts from the westward expansion. The Yokut exhibit includes a traditional native home, grinding stones used for preparing food, and a flowing stream, providing insight into the daily life and ingenuity of the Yokut people.

Park's Gazebo

The Kingsburg Historical Park gazebo is a charming centerpiece within the park, offering a glimpse into the town's rich heritage. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and historical buildings, the gazebo serves as a popular spot for community gatherings, weddings, and cultural events.

Rieffel's Grocery Store

Step back in time at Reiffel's Community Grocer, a charming exhibit from the 1930s at Kingsburg Historical Park. As you walk inside, you'll find an array of authentic artifacts that evoke the nostalgia of a bygone era. Shelves lined with vintage packaging, old-fashioned cash register, and period-appropriate goods create an immersive experience, allowing visitors to relive the daily life and community spirit of the 1930s.
